Elsa lesbian? Perhaps yes, in the sequel to Frozen - The kingdom of ice. The New York Post writes it, stressing that the director and screenwriter Jennifer Lee does not rule out that the princess may have a loving relationship with a woman.
Homosexuality is not a new thing for Frozen. Already at the time of release in 2013, many people perceived Lgbt traits in the characters and on Twitter a campaign had even been launched for a future coming out of the protagonist, #GiveElsaAGirlfriend .
"I like everything people think and say about our film - said Lee about Elsa's possibility of having a girlfriend - a dialogue is being created and Elsa is a wonderful character who speaks to so many. "
Would you agree with this gay-friendly breakthrough of Disney?
After these statements, comments and criticisms were unleashed. Many parents would not want children to be sexually "deflected". Others, more open, think that it would be simply love and that it would be a great achievement to finally see a lesbian princess.
Personally, I am gay friendly and I would like to see this opening sooner or later in Disney cartoons. But.... not Elsa.
Elsa, as well as the last princesses created by Disney, is the emblem of the independent and strong woman, perhaps a little too closed in herself, but who relies only on her strength. She is struggling to put his family back together, once she has recovered his relationship with her sister.
So, why should we have to work with such an independent princess with a partner (male or female, whatever)?
I am curious to know your opinion on this... what would you prefer for your children?
