Found in the Exchange District, the Bedford Building has been home to many different places since its development in 1903 and its addition in 1907 including Reiss Furs, Stobart Building and Immeuble Stobart.
Designed by James H. Cadham, this Richardsonian Romanesque style structure was a very important addition to Winnipeg's Exchange District when the city became the centre of wholesale trade in Western Canada.
Some interesting features this building has are the keystone arches, lug sills below the windows made from rough-cut limestone and a modest looking cornice.
This landmark is and will always be an important part of Winnipeg's history.
