I think the actual date is July 30, IIRC.

It doesn't matter. I wouldn't remember on the exact day to do a post even if I remembered the actual anniversary ;>

So what have I done in that thee years?

  • 1200 posts
  • received 9700 replies
  • earned over 6400 SP ( I wonder how much in STEEM and SBD)
  • bought 2500 STEEM
  • sold close to 4000 STEEM (probably averaging $2 per...I bought in at .14, IIRC)
  • helped create the #informationwar community
  • I have given out about 400 STEEM in writing contests for Halloween, Christmas, and IW topics
  • contingently "quit" last month
  • changed my mind and reinvested in SBI
  • I have bought votes, and I have decried buying votes...I even bought votes to promote a post in which I decried buying votes LOL

What have I changed in that time?

I started out in a quest to learn more about cryptocurrency. I learned about Steemit from the Gridcoin community. I declared with all my hear I would NOT be discussing politics here.

That didn't last long ;> I don't even pay attention to crypto anymore. I have put all my eggs in the STEEM basket, aside from the airdrops I am getting based on my SP.

The better thing I have changed has been to almost eliminate my derogatory responses to some posters that disagreed with me. It usually wasn't me cussing at them, but using a demeaning tone and sarcasm. It took me TWO years to tone that down by 90%. It doesn't work in convincing people, and I started feeling guilty about it. I did enjoy it, but there is something about it that is kind of wrong.

What about the future?

I have tied myself to STEEM, for better or for worse. I write for other platforms here and there (I'm doing most of my IW writing on Weku, presently). I started looking for work or grad school opportunities a couple of months ago, and have given up on the idea of writing for Steemit to support myself.

Obviously, there is still hope on my part that STEEM picks up enough value on the floor limit so that self support happens in the future. This blockchain holds so much potential, I decided it was dumb to walk away.

For my birthday presents, you all may comment pics of scantily clad brunettes, and thank you!
