We had a plagiarism incident today on our #informationwar tag.

With all the different platforms there are out there, it is very easy for scammers to re-use your work.

And it also makes it hard for curators to cross check for plagiarism; Give Cheetah some credit over on Steemit, even if it sometimes nails some of your own cross-platform work!

In any case, it behooves you to spend some time checking tags on other platforms and seeing if anyone is using your work for their benefit.

I intended to add some links about recognizing plagiarism online, but it looks like most of the webpages devoted to the topic are focused on preventing academic cheating.

So, barring someone writing a Cheetah analogue for Weku, keep an eye out for plagiarism of your own work, and of your friends!

Thanks for reading! I wrote this for Weku, but since I expect the bulk of stealing will be from here to there, I think the advice still applies here!
