Are you suggesting, perhaps, a new league be formed called the California Football League? 😄

I don't think the NFL needs more teams in that area, certainly not in Oakland again, since they've tried there twice and moved, as you said. San Diego doesn't need to be an expansion team, send the Chargers back there (LA certainly doesn't need 2 teams).

Portland may be a good call though, probably far enough north of San Francisco not to impinge on their fan base, yet close enough to other teams to build up some good rivalries.
