Hello again one and all,
On this sunny Tuesday, we have 51 races over 7 meetings to choose from and hopefully bag a few winners.
Recap - Monday, 22nd May, 2023
Two of our 6 selections landed in the winners enclosure yesterday, allowing us to make a small dent in the losses for the month, and gives us a 2 day winnig streak for the first time this month.
Mr Jetman
Out of the gates well, steadying into his stride in a small group to the left, and always prominent. The main group ran down the centre of the track and were soon joined by the rest. Pushed to take the lead over two furlongs from home, veering slightly right when ridden a furlong out, edging back left shortly after. Stayed on well, despite a small, but not really threatening, challenge from the second inside the final furlong, and crossed the line 3/4 length ahead.
Brave Knight
Lived up to his name in this battle for supremacy. Led early on, remaining prominent when headed with over a mile still to race. Led again with 2 furlongs left to the line, and again slipped back slightly inside the final furlong. Stayed on well, however, and regained the lead for a third time with 100 yards to go, and driven to the line, finishing 1/2 length ahead of the second.
Of our other selections, two finished third, one finished 12th of 12, and the other fell at the 5th of the 18 obstacles.
Tipsters Standings
Again, not a huige amount of success for those at the top of the May table, though the group on 6 wins for the month has increased to eight tipsters after yesterdays results. Will any of that groups jump onto 7 winners today? We shall see. Newmarket will stay 1 ahead regardless, however, although we'd obviously prefer if he bagged a winner today and got the last third of the month off to a good start.

A winner at the third time of asking on this course last time out in January, with today's jockey riding him that day. Should be fresh after couple of months break. A slightly longer trip this time round, and his debut under handicap.

Twice a winner at this distance in 2021, and this is only his second run since returning from a 477 day break. Partnered again by C. O'Farrell for his first outing on this track. Odds have already slipped to 11/4 from the 5's I got when i placed the bet, so must be well liked to have a good chance.
So. we are all set for today's action with two bets placed, hoping to snap our short losing streak.
