Hello again one and all,
"May the 4th be with you" as we hit Star Wars Day once again. Though linked with the classic phrase in the movies, it has been apparently attributed as first coming into common usage following Maggie Thatcher's victory in the 1979 General Election held on 4th May here in the UK, when an advert was placed in a London newspaper reading "May the Fourth Be With You, Maggie. Congratulations!"
And so, onto today's racing action. Another day with 6 meetings taking place across the UK (5) and Ireland (1), so plenty of opportunities to find a winner or two.

A better day yesterday, inasmuch as we landed 1 winner, but still slipped a bit further into the red with the other 4 losing, though again there were a couple of seconds to frustrate us on the day.
Our sole success yesterday bagged us a £0.27p return on our £0.10p stake. With this race being a mad 5f dash for glory, it was a case of blink and you might miss it. Reigning Glory was just shaded for the lead at the start, racingfollowing the rail, on the shoulder of the leader until taking the lead coming around the turn for home. Pushed on when entering the home straight and moved clear inside the final furlong finishing 2 lengths ahead of the early leader Mews House who just hung on for second place. That's 2 wins in 9 days at this track and over this distance, and might be one to keep an eye on. Declared to run again at Goodwood tomorrow (5th May) but I feel the turnaround might be a bit soon.

Just three of the tipsters with a winner before yesterday added another to their tallies, which makes choosing today's bets inifinitely easier.
Today's Bets
Just the three selections for today's bets, one of which we were on three weeks ago, and grabbed a win, so hoping she can repeat that feat today.
A winner last time out by 1.5 lengths at this course, goes a furlong less in trip for this one so has to be in with a shout, despite the extra 6lbs in weight given to her by the handicapper as a result of that win.
Our third pick runs in the second race at Tipperary, and was 5th of 20 last time out at Fairyhouse 25 days ago. Reported as a bit below form that day. A longer trip today at 3M with 20 runners due to take to the start.
