The start of a new working week, and today we see 37 races across 5 meetings around the country, with the first race getting underway at Lingfield at 2pm.

One of those days yesterday, with a winner, two seconds and a third place. Ordinarily that would be considered a good day of predictions, even if the returns wouldn't necessarily have matched that, with only one of those selections being priced well enough to consider an each-way punt. But with our strategy searching out only winners we end up slightly down on the day,. The returns weren't great with our sole winner being odds on (4-6) resulting in a £0.07p profit on the bet.
Al Asifah was slowly away from the gates, with jockey Jim Crowley holding her up at the rear of the field. Moved up to track the leading trio 6f from home approaching the turn for home. Further headway was made approaching the 2f marker, and she took the lead inside the last two furlongs, showing a remarkable turn of foot to cruise well clear, easing down approaching the line and still finished 6.5 lengths ahead over the line, making it two wins from two starts for this impressive 3yo Filly.
Tipsters Standings
Lee Sobot was the sole winner from the leading pack yesterday, and therefore takes top spot on his own, at least for today.
Today's Bets
Despite his success yesterday, Lee Sobot's selection for today looks likely to start as odds on once again, as have most of his selections this month. So I have decided against taking his selection for today (it's currently priced at the time of writing at odds of 2-7, which see a return of £0.13p (or profit of £0.03p).
Instead I'm going for the selections of the group of four behind him. Two of the four have picked the same runner, so that means just three bets for today.

Made her debut on the track just 8 days ago at Nottingham over the short sprint distance of 5f, finishing just 1/2 length behind in second place. Goes a furlong further in this one, and in the very capable hands of Kevin Stott once again.
