Hello again one and all,

Thursday sees the racing action begin with the 13:50 at Ffos Las in South Wales, being one of six meetings today.

Recap - Thursday 8th June, 2023

It must be the curse of the single bet as our sole selection didnt quite make the grade, finishing second.

Khanjar was slow out of the gates, and began the race held up towards the rear of the 12 runner field, running towards the centre of the track. Switched a bit wider to get a run around the pack, and began making headway with about 3f to go. Ridden to challenge the leader inside the final furlong but couldn't quite get close enough, in the end finishing one length behind.

Tipsters Standings

Fortunatus sole lead at the top of the month's standings was short lived and he is now in a group of three, whose selections we will taking on today.

Today's Bets

Storm Fox : 3yo Bay Filly
Tipped By : Fortunatus (Sheffield Star)
Trainer : T D Easterby
Jockey: D Allen

Placed twice in her five starts to-date, most recently 11 days ago when beaten by a neck in a 5f sprint at Redcar. The jockey who rode her that day takes the reins again today. Up against Cinque Verde again today who she finished two places behind in a 6f race at Doncaster in April. 1lb better off for that meeting.

Abate : 7yo Brown Gelding
Tipped By : Lee Sobot (Yorkshire Evening Post and 3 others)
Trainer : Adrian Nicholls
Jockey: Mia Nicholls

Seven time winner in his career, including 4 times over this distance. Came home first of a field of seven on his last outing, over 5 furlongs at Hamilton 9 days ago, under the guidance of today's jockey and making all the running. Starts at the same handicap mark as that last win.

Peony : 3yo Bay Filly
Tipped By : Jon Freeman (The i and 2 others)
Trainer : Ed Walker
Jockey: Tom Marquand

Grabbed her maiden victory after four starts last time out a month ago at Wolverhampton over this distance. That win was also her first win under handicap rules, and is only 2lbs worse off this time out for the experience. Having the talented Tom Marquand in the plate is an added bonus.

That about wraps it up for another day.

Hope you all have a great day, and find some success in your day, whether that be in the sports world or otherwise. And as usual if you follow the picks or go against them let me know, you never know there may be a reward coming your way with some SPORTS tokens.

Until tomorrow

Steve
