I may, as you suggest, need to make some formal complaint against the hospital for the sake of my own sanity, although not for the foreseeable future.

Absolutely, it is a relief for everyone who was looking on too, it is hard watching someone slip away over a drawn out period.

We stand at the brink of a brand new year my friend, I wasn't certain I would see another at one point, and I intend to grab it with as much strength and optimism as I can.
