What Really Caused Fish to Die on the Gold Coast of Queensland Australia? THOUSANDS of dead fish were found floating in a river canal on the Gold Coast...What are the facts? Locals were shocked after waking to find thousands of dead fish of many species floating in waterways around Benowa and Bundall on both Saturday and Sunday morning. Gold Coast Council news headlines claim that testing by Griffiths University, shows that they were killed due to sudden cold causing algae depriving them of oxygen, however, many are suspicious of such claims (as am I), as I'm unable to find any record of water temperature variance to any extreme...QCC claims that recent sewerage works, involving tunnelling UNDER the lake, is "unlikely" to have caused this toxic holocaust...What IS the truth about thousands of dead fish and dead birds in the canal?
