I invested in Zilliqa a while back when it was less than 1c. At this low price I went on to buy a small chunk and then staked it.
Then forgot about it.
Until I was reminded of it again over the past week or so, with its recent run up in price, in preparation for its launch of the Metapolis, a new metaverse.
Thinking of the old adage to "sell the rumour", I saw this as an opportunity to offload some of my Zilliqa as it hit 20c over the last few days.
So I logged into my wallet to unstake my tokens and transfer them to the exchange and then I saw that it takes two weeks to unstake tokens on zilliqa. Uh oh.
I also found that you need a minimum of 60 tokens in your wallet to be able to unstake your tokens (and I held zero in my wallet as I had parked my spare tokens on an exchange - and this particular exchange had disabled withdrawals so I couldn't transfer 60 back to my wallet to allow for the unstaking to start).
So I'm stuck at square one.
And the price has now started to drop back down. An opportunity missed.
This is one of the problems with crypto right now. Everything is such a hassle. Most normies would just throw in the towel and move on. It's still not ready for the mainstream.
Meanwhile, we'll forge on...
