1. Planting a leadership seed.

What is leadership? Leadership is the capacity or the zeal to lead some particular Set of people or an organization. Leadership is first discovered through someone planting a leadership seed into another. 2. Leading in era of divisivenesss and disrespect.

As a leader you have to respect everyone, and you don't choose who to respect. Note that 25% of disrespected worker in your organization chase customers and frustrate customers.   • Conduct spirited conversations without "drawing blood".
  • Differ with others without demonizing them.
  • Don't interrupt others and don't dominate the conversation.
  • Limit volume levels when talking, and refuse to use harsh or explosive language.
  • Be courteous in words and actions to everyone.
  • Don't stereotype or draw quick conclusions.
  • Apologize immediately when wrong instead of denying or blaming.
  • From your own opinions carefully and be open to change your opinion.
  • Show up when you say you will show up and do what you say you will do.
  • Set "rule of respect" and enforce on your team.

The key behaviour or code of conduct that you and your team would like to see to raise to culture of respect and civility are:

  • Greetings and acknowledging others.
  • Learn to say please and sorry
  • Treating each other with equality and respect.
  • Honesty
  • Treating everybody with respect and civility

3. Maximize leadership seasons.

When it comes to your current leadership role; are you in a season of starting, counting, or finishing a role? Circle the season you are in.

  • Connect to God throughout this season in a new way.
  • Learn and Connect with people who have experience your season of leadership.
  • Find safe friends to support what you are going through in this season.

4. Choose your leadership challenges.

The leadership challenges from the list below should be focus on next year:

  • Spend 15min each day reflecting on your life, leadership character, and who you will become.
  • Make this next year the year of your grander vision. Leverage your team and your success to invest in a cause greater than simply your business success.
  • Use an outside consultant or tool to measure the health of your team or organization's culture to find ways to make it better.
  • Create a year round personal betterment plan for my leadership.
