Just got started in Steemit. Really enjoying the experience. Trying to understand the format and how one can navigate thru the space. Understanding what to do and what not to do. Getting valuable tips and comments from the different posts. Seems complicated at first. Trying to learn the different terms (steem dollars, steem power, upvotes, Resteem, etc) and really understanding that good , quality content is the key. It's how you get noticed in the community as well as gaining followers. You basically put value to yourself and therefore the community benefits. You are helping to make the community more interesting and thereby community is able to attract more accounts. It's really quite simple. One way to prosper is to live an interesting lifestyle with unique insights and thoughts on different topics. By sharing with community via pictures, quality posts, quality comments, etc) , you will add "substance" in content and the Steemit community can partake and benefit from your unique experience , talents, insights, thought processes. In doing so or in essence by sharing yourself with others in this platform, you will be paid accordingly. Key point, payment is determined by the quality of your post, comments, replies. Therefore, chase producing good content and not the money (requesting upvotes or making volume comments that are not really well thought out.). The money will eventually come once people know you as one that is worth reading because of content reputation. With this, another key to doing well in Steemit platform is of course to increase Steem Power. It's the holy grail. It is the goal one must pursue. Steem Power rules. Remember, this just friendly advice and just my humble opinion. You must do your own research and come up with your own conclusions. I hope this post will help the new Steemians coming on board. We're one team on a destination to greatness and dominance in the social media network.
