Hello everyone. It's totally nice to be here and making memory with you guys
My name is Oluwafemi Stephen but a lot of my folks call me Nevets. Coincidentally, Stephen means crown and Nevets also means the same. Steven backwards is also Nevets and that was how I got my nickname.
Insights into what my life is about.
Foremost, before any other part of me will be told, I'm a self taught pencil artist. I have probably not attained much in the art world but I'm currently on my way to achieving the highest medal I can. I have been drawing for as long as I can remember. It was a talent that never died despite the amount of times my father tried to rid me of it (he's a fan now though. Lol). I took my art to another level back in 2014 and started to work towards photorealism which means I now pay a lot of focus to shades, shadows, depth, highlights and textures. I have been able to achieve all I have now due to years of constant training and testing of diverse materials and techniques.
I do not see myself leaving the art world ever. So art is my ride or die per say and it'll make up for most of the content I'll be posting here.
Here are a few of my works. I'll be beginning this gallery with one of my best yet.. A drawing of Anthony Joshua I made last year December.
Secondly, I'm an interior designer. I decuded to help a friend paint her room a year back and that was when I realised I could paint and also get creative on walls. I shot to being one of the top 3 interior painters in my community and I've found myself in one of the stiffest competitions ever. I have been commissioned to take on projects in other states and its been a wonderful year so far. I've gotten busy so much so that I even have to turn down jobs sometimes.
Here are some of my paintings.
Also, I play the guitar and drums and sing. I've always loved music from time and I can keep an earpiece in my ear for hours and keep my eyes shut while I relish every single beat. I've been playing the drums for as long as I can remember and picked up the guitar three years ago.
I'm a 3rd year student of English in the university. Studying English is not as easy as I thought it would be. Since I grew up speaking English, I thought I knew a lot about it. Getting to study the language in the university showed me hell. Lol. There's a lot of theory to the English language.
In conclusion, I'm an easy going, severely playful and ambiverted personality. I trust too much at times. I also think I fall in love easily. Lol.
WHAT I INTEND TO BRING INTO THE HIVE COMMUNITY
For starters, I'll be creating a lot of contents majorly on art and creativity. That can not be so hard to guess right?? Since art is the very core essence of my life right now. Whoever visits my blog will get bathed in Art contents. Drawing and Painting Lol.
These art contents will not only include progress shots but also art tutorials and basic DIY tools for drawing. Stay tuned
And I'm also having plans to start an art based contest that will see every artist develop their skills gradually. Each contest will be set for each artist to achieve a certain goal that'll help them get better at what they do. When I start making plans to move it in motion, I'm hoping I'll get the support needed to make art thrive even better here.
