Fooling around with Synfig Studio this evening. It's a pretty handy little program for creating Flash style vector animation. I watched a tutorial on YouTube this afternoon and then tried to recreate the animation to get the hang of the program. There is a slight learning curve and it looks like it can get pretty in depth, but it seems easy to figure out the basics.
This 8-second animation only took me about an hour to do. Considering I've never touched this program before, that's really fast. When I started, I couldn't even figure out how to get an outline around an object, let alone start the animation.
