The new Nigerian President promised to hit the ground running, if elected, during his campaign. Many people, including myself, took the message on the surface and as one of the fake promises of politicians that never see the light of the day.
In less than 2 weeks of his inauguration, several key decisions have been made, including the removal of the "scammy" fuel subsidy, the suspension and persecution of the central bank governor, and the latest being the signing of the education loan bill into law.
While these actions may not matter in the overall scheme of things, everyone seems to have been jolted into life, and perhaps, there is still hope for this country. We have lacked a responsive and proactive government since 1999.
