Many strange events are going on or happening around us. What we will normally term 'madness' in some few years back are currently being celebrated and discussed as the main agenda even when the world's leaders meet. Being sane or trying to remain sane is termed as insanity. Insanity is now the new sanity.

The truth is, all of us cannot be mad at the same time. Some of us will try to remain sane even if the entire world look down on us as the mad ones. We need the wisdom to sieve contents on social media and limit ourselves to those one that will not silently indoctrinate us into the school of madness.

I am certain some people already understand the hidden message.

Welcome to a new edition of STEMng digest. The third of the year 2023.

Who are we?

STEMng is the Nigerian sub-community of the stemsocial community, a community that has been supporting stem authors on the hive blockchain for about four years now. While stemsocial focuses on everyone irrespective of their country, STEMng is specifically for Nigerians. The best stem contents published by Nigerians on the Hive blockchain are highlighted weekly.

Below are the posts that made it into our digest for this week:

  1. eni-ola@eni-ola: Pharmacology || HIV Antiviral Drug Mechanism of Action and Side Effect
Our first post for this week is from a well-known author in the community. Many of us are familiar with viruses as one of the major pathogens of humans. Some of us have actually been or are currently a victim of these microscopic pathogens. What we were made to understand is that viral diseases have no outright cures, yet we have antiviral drugs. How then do these drugs function? This post provides good answers.

2.royalevidence@royalevidence: How to Deal with an Ulcer: The Top Tips for People Living With Ulcers
Here is a post about dealing with ulcer. First, let me tell you all that what some people term ulcer are actually not ulcer. Unless a thorough diagnosis is made, you cannot be sure that you have ulcer. In his post, the author discussed ways to deal with actual ulcers, not suspected ulcers. Education is key.

3.bimbo45@bimbo45: What is Your Take On Time and Can Time be Reversed?
This next post is about the time phenomenon. This particular quantity has been discussed in great length in the science world, among different scientists, an in relation to other quantities such as gravity, expansion, and travelling. This post takes us through the various theories that have been formulated and each tries to unravel this mystery behind time. In end end, the author invited discussions wrt to the subject. What do you think?

4.nattybongo@nattybongo: Sleep and The Eye
Here is a good post from our brother discussing the relationship that exist between insomnia and the eyes. Personally, I never thought that not having proper sleep may lead to certain eyes problems but our Optometrist just educated me. Not sleeping properly may lead to dry eyes and one may even start feeling pains in their eyeballs. Quite an educating post that is worth every second of whatever time spent reading it.

5.clinton19@clinton19: Weekly Science And Technology Reports - January 22 2023
Our weekly science report tonic. This week discusses the potential of tomatoes and potatoes in the management of cancer, how humans are able to dominate norther climates without being able to evolve against cold, the possibility of an oxygen pipeline from the moon's south pole, and so much more. Click the post to have a feast.

And that ends our selections for this week. Do not forget to give the featured posts/authors your maximum support. Thank you in advance.
