Well, according to a particular report I read, a large percentage of what we diagnose as typhoid in Nigeria is really not typhoid. And I suspect this report to be correct going by the duration between infection and clinical presentation of the symptoms. We are still a long way off when it comes to accurate diagnosis of pathogenic diseases, I guess. Diagnostic centers make too many guesses.
