There is no sound, no life here..

My mind it races and weaves and shouts,
An endless chasm of both useless and useful things.
Possibilities urgently racing around and through,
I am fatigued, I am alert and I am visibly transformed.

Mornings sneak into my room like a lover's form leaves a bed,
The pale dawn rolling over my sheets in seduction.
These are the times where I breathe in deeper still,
Where the darkness meets the light and slumber swallows me.

They say that the night is a time for sleep and rejuvenation,
While I say that it's a new breaking mould.
And as the night she folds me into her arms,
My fevered heart it slows, synchronized to match my surrounds.

The world is silent, still, mysterious and layered,
The wolves and nocturnal creatures come out for games.
Folding into the peace that belongs to the moon,
These hours stretch on and silently collide.
Again, the sun brings no solace.

All is quiet.

A silence surrounds, there's no light here..

If I do anything incorrect it's because I am very new to Steemit. I'm here to make some friends and look forward to seeing your feedback in the comments below!
