Ever softly,
The earth sings and moves...

Down beneath the riverbeds,
Where the reeds move slow and smooth,
Beneath the dirt and assortments of earth,
In between the sunshine's mirth.

With thrushes charming bowers,
And zephyrs curling slow,
A little girl drifts motionless,
Floating with the undertow.

Soft linen translucent in the morning sky,
Copper tendrils dapple her face.
Eyes concealed in such serene silence,
The current taking her to a happier place.

Not a soul daren't speak of such a sombre time,
Not a tear was wept in her wake.
Not a young boy's hat did break this day,
Not a bulbous white cloud dares taint this blue today.

Linen and Lace sinks swiftly in,
To be swallowed and consumed by the sea.
And without such malice as one last exclaim,
We are reminded that whatever will be, will be.

And softly,
The earth did sing.

If I do anything incorrect it's because I am very new to Steemit. I'm here to make some friends and look forward to seeing your feedback in the comments below!
