Hello, dear friends of Hive DIY and the entire Hive community! Today, I made a flower ring using beads. I invite you to follow the step-by-step process to see the final result鈥擨 hope you like it.
In the world of costume jewelry, there is always a new way to create pieces. One method that caught my eye was making floral jewelry; creating flowers out of beads and seed beads results in really lovely, cute accessories. The best part is how easy they are to make鈥擨 used to think it would be difficult because I鈥檇 seen so many complex floral designs, but it turns out it鈥檚 actually quite simple. Having prior experience making accessories really helped me; I remember starting out by weaving seed beads, imitation Swarovski crystals, and metal spacer beads. That was a phase where I was truly hooked鈥擨 even sold some pieces and was constantly buying materials for new designs. Although I eventually drifted away from that hobby, I now realize there is a huge variety of jewelry styles I hadn't even known were possible back then. Now, I have the opportunity to create them and show you how to make them, too.

Paso a paso
Step by step
Paso 1/Step 1
Thread five pink beads onto a small piece of clear nylon line to begin forming the flower that will serve as the ring's centerpiece. After placing the five pink beads, add a fuchsia bead to serve as the center of the flower; the nylon line must pass through the center of the fuchsia bead.
Paso 2/Step 2
Then, I threaded each end of the nylon cord through the two side beads so they met at the top; finally, I took another pink bead and passed each end of the cord through its center from opposite directions, completing the flower.
Paso 3/Step 3
With the star of the ring in place, add an olive-green bead; once that bead is attached, begin the row to form the ring's band.
Paso 4/Step 4
For the ring band, use the olive-green bead and then continue with light green beads; the number you use depends on the finger size. I used 13 light green beads鈥攏ot counting the olive-green bead, as that part sits at the sides of the flower to make it look like leaves.
Paso 5/Step 5
The green bead chain is made with the nylon thread crossing from side to side, thereby forming a row of beads.
Paso 6/Step 6
Once I reached the indicated length, I stopped adding light green beads and added the olive green bead; finally, I tied a knot.
