I started by drawing a Hello Kitty picture. I chose a small image, one that would fit the size of a brooch. I like to look for images on Pinterest because I feel there are more nice options to choose from. So I found a picture of Hello Kitty with red overalls and her iconic red bow. First, I sketched it in pencil, then I outlined it with a pen and erased the pencil lines so that when I started coloring, the pencil marks wouldn't smudge the colors.

And so I continued until my favorite part, which is adding the color. The colors are red for the bow and the overalls, and in the background, she has a pink shirt. Finally, I added yellow for the nose and black for the eyes. At the end, I decided to outline the edges of the drawing in black again because I felt they weren't showing up.

Once I had finished the drawing, I placed it on the piece of cardboard. I used hot glue or silicone sticks; it's very important to let it dry completely.

Then, using the same hot glue stick, I applied a layer of silicone over the drawing to give it a shiny touch, and I also attached the pin and a small piece of cardboard to make the brooch more durable. And that's how the brooch was finished; I just let it dry completely before using it to decorate my bag.
