Hello friends how are you? I tell you that this is the first book I have read that includes so many stories together.
On the balcony, the contrast startled him. the setting sun had softened the sky, lined the west with pinks and soft orange. ''

I don't think I've ever read a collection of short stories before, so this was the first time ... this book covered thirteen stories in total, exploring the themes of identity, love, and longing. you were invited to learn about the vulnerabilities and emotions of the characters as they navigated their presence in a home away from home.
There are 13 short stories, some based on the United Kingdom (Scotland), Sudan, Egypt and the Middle East. I really enjoyed the stories related to Sudan in particular.
I'll be honest, some stories weren't as engaging as others and some got quite repetitive in the story they portrayed. I became interested in some and I wish the author had developed those stories further. however, my favorite was definitely 'something old, something new' and I also enjoyed 'colored lights' and 'waiting to give'.

I would recommend it if you are looking for an easy read. only the cover is what sealed the purchase for me 😍🍃
