I've been going to some of the meetings of the SyncHerts group for a year or so. It brings together developers, entrepreneurs and other interested parties to enjoy presentations and chat. I enjoy just talking with my fellow geeks.
Last night's talks were about Docker, which I didn't know too much about, and a PHP data access system called Agile Data presented by the guy who developed it. The latter relates to the sort of things I work on and I wish they used something like that. I do a lot of work with databases, mostly Oracle.
I used to go to Herts LUG (Linux User Group), but some of those people come to the SyncHerts meetings too. Nowadays Linux is more mainstream and I know a lot of developers work with it. It's been my main home OS for many years.
Got to love Tux.
