Description from Strava: project
The weather has kept changing this week. Yesterday had rain, but this morning was not looking too bad. It was a little warmer too. I was out at our pub jam session last night with some fellow Hivers. I do like a beer, but it can make for a less than optimal night's sleep and so I was not feeling at my best. I headed out anyway and jogged fairly slowly up to West Drive.

I have not done my hill intervals for a while, so was planning to do them even if I felt like I would not be quick. They were actually not too bad really. Some were under the 'magic' 5min/km, which is good for me on an uphill sprint. I walked a little on the way back each time, but then intervals are partly about varying your heart rate and you need some recovery time.

I was feeling better as I jogged home. A run often lifts my mood. Recently we gained a bicycle maintenance point by the village hall. I have not seen anyone use it yet. Outside the lower school a couple of people were putting out some flags. I did not see what they said, but it may be related to recent industrial action. Our government seems more concerned with helping the rich than with paying most people enough to get by in the face of rising costs.

Now I have had breakfast, a shower and coffee (in that order) I feel ready to get on with my day.

Run free!
