Description from Strava:
It is due to get hotter this week and may peak around 35C. I will not be running when it is that hot. This morning was not too bad for an easy run. My legs were still tired from Sunday, but could manage this.
It is looking quite overgrown up West Drive and I wonder if there will be another work team to tidy it up. I did see that someone has been trimming back the bushes up the top on the path around Fairfield. A lot of people use that path. One of these days I ought to take the route down through the woods.
I managed to mostly stay in heart zone two today, but it went up quite a bit on the way back down for no obvious reason. I do wonder if the sensor on my Garmin watch plays up sometimes, but it is usually quite responsive.
There will be a partial eclipse here tomorrow evening. I will probably go out and observe it by projecting. I do not think I have any eclipse glasses and I know the dangers. I remember one where it got noticeably darker over 20 years ago, but have never seen a total eclipse. Some people in Spain can see that this time. There have been some headlines about the eclipse affecting solar power, but it will not be for long and our battery will keep the house powered.
Do not stare at the sun!
Run free.
