Description from Strava:
I was scanning barcodes at parkrun yesterday. We had nearly 250 finishers so it was quite busy, but it was also pretty warm.

I had decided to get myself a running vest so I could have some water with me on long runs. As I had an Amazon voucher I had a look on there and found this one by Zelvot that looked okay. It comes with a flexible bottle and a big phone pouch. There is a small pocket for keys and a bigger pouch on the back that could hold a waterproof. This was my first run with it and I had to get used to the extra bulk. I did have a few sips of water. I stopped for those, but you do not have to take the bottle out to drink.

I ran part of the Letchworth Greenway today. I have done the half marathon race that goes all the way around a few times, but today I cut it shorter. I actually missed a turn, but did not mind too much as the run was long enough.

I ran down a few roads we visited for the recent open gardens. The route does go up and down a bit so there was a reasonable bit of climbing. I came back through some of the town centre and headed for the Grange estate where their parkrun happens. From there it is a fairly steep downhill track across to Fairfield and then down again to Arlesey so the latter part was not too hard.

I would like to build up to half marathon distance as I have not done that in a while. There are some shorter events I may enter this year.

I had a swim in our pool yesterday and may well be in again today to cool off as it warms up. It is due to peak again on Thursday, but there is a chance of some rain after that. We could really do with it.

I hope it is good where you are. Run free!
