Description from Strava:
Yesterday was windy and wet at times, but this morning looked better, although it was chilly. I have done a lot of walking lately, so was not aiming to do anything too strenuous today.

Just up the road I saw some flashing blue lights. The police were out dealing with an incident where a couple of cars seemed to have collided. One had a smashed windscreen, but I did not hang around to look closer. The road was partially blocked, but cars were getting through.

Heading up West Drive I noticed some digging had been going on. It looked like it was for some pipe so may be for water. Leaks are a general issue with one near us that has been pouring water out for a while.

I just did a clockwise lap of Fairfield and tried to keep the pace up. There were a few other runners out, but nobody I really know.

On the way home one of the damaged cars had gone and the other was up on the footpath with no police around. It is a fairly straight road and some people will drive too fast along there, but there can be a lot of parked vehicles further along where you often have to slow down or stop. I have seen the results of plenty of accidents around here.

My average pace was fairly good today so I can be happy with that. I need to get back to parkrun to see how I do.

Have a great day and run free.
