This simple method of explaining how microwave oven acting as a shield against static electric field is really interesting. i dont really know that a microwave oven can do such. This is a nice concept. I agree with you that science fiction is same as what can be practised in the reality. Most of those science films are written by those who knows the nitty gritty of such field they write on.
