FRANCE: Joyeux Noel (2005)
🖋️Christmas Eve, 1914. World War I is raging with particular ferocity. The armies of France, Germany and Great Britain are on the Franco-Swiss border, pinned down after months of fighting. They are trapped in the trenches, in the mud, unable to escape and spend Christmas with their families. But, in one of the trenches, music is heard.
FINLAND: Jolutarina (2007)
🖋️Many years ago in Lapland, a boy named Nikolas was orphaned when his family was killed in an accident. The heads of the village families sit down to decide on his future and conclude that each family will have him for a year, since life in the area is difficult for a family to be able to raise him alone. Nicholas shows great talent in making wooden toys and every year at Christmas he leaves the gifts he made to the family he is leaving. When a natural disaster strikes the village, no one can take care of him anymore, so he takes refuge with a hermit carpenter. He will take the child in as his own and watch him grow into someone we all know: Santa Claus.

🖋️Jorge was born on Christmas Day and for as long as he can remember, his birthday has always been overshadowed by Christmas.
