Actually, this is a Rainbow lorikeet (Trichoglossus moluccanus according to Wiki), so the photo would work for any and all days of the week :)
I have met this colorful character in Urimbirra Wildlife Park in South Australia, he seems to be used to people and expects to be fed and admired!
