It took me almost three days to figure out how I wanted to approach Audius. Should I start with all new? One song, two songs, ISRC numbers, creative commons... brain hurted.
I decided I would use the Jackie Chan Vs Bruce Chan Hip Hop Battle as the first Tetrahedroseph album on Audius. I started some of the process for that album.
THEN, I noticed I could add ISRC numbers. I was happy again. The major decision was made for me. Seemed obvious to use the music that I am paying Amuse to distribute.
Seems fairly easy, right?
Oh wait... attribution, commercial, derivative details are here. This can get complicated to me. I used this article for advice: https://www.relativisticramblings.com/reflections/creative-commons-is-good-if-you-allow-commercial-use/ I decided to let others use it freely as long as I get credit and as long as they maintain the same dynamics. Does it sound like I know what I'm talking about?
I'm happy to see a field for UPC.
I was able to select all three songs for the upload and it was fast. Some places charge for batch uploads. (Don't tell Audius I said that!)
What's next... lots of details for each song and the album. Royalty tracking should be cool.
That's it. Audius didn't take long to process.
Nice and fast.
How do you like that Amuse. They probably like it. I just did their job, didn't I?
That's supposed to be the embed above. I guess it's not working out at the moment. It should look like this...
Ohh that embed from BandCamp looks awesome. I wish those fools would allow HIVE payments. Any crypto payment would be nice. Kinda suspect, like isn't BandCamp almost like a decentralized or DIY music service in the first place? Does Spotify or Apple own them secretly?
I'm harsh sometimes. Don't shoot the messenger.
