In the ridiculous category here comes the story out of Santa Clara, California of an exploitative return for refund.
A woman returned the Christmas tree she bought at Costco several weeks after the purchase because the tree was dead.
The Los Angeles area store refunded the purchase price - somewhere around 35 bucks.
According to the New York Post, he woman was slammed on social media by users branding her “cheap” and “brazen.”
One person wrote: “People like this are miserable. Seriously, how cheap can you be?”
While another said: “Sister works for Costco, can confirm. People do this all the time. They will even demand a refund without bringing back the tree.”
I think our society is completely out of control, well not completely, but the closest it's ever been. Embarrassment or guilt don't appear to hold many people in check any longer.
