Greetings, everyone!
It's no longer a piece of news. Still, I consider the recent marketing campaign from dCrops to be a beautiful example of how one can get the attention of a well-established community, without triggering any hard feelings. In a few words, they used the Splinterlands governing system to pass a proposal in which they made the Splinterlands DAO to make a symbolic investment in dCrops, and in exchange, dCrops printed a special promo card, which was sold exclusively for DEC, the dollar-pegged token used by Splinterlands. The interest of dCrops was not to make a profit from this event, therefore all this DEC is burned, helping the DAO and the Splinterlands community to generate scarcity.
This approach made dCrops visible in the Splinterlands community, allowing them to use this collaboration to promote themselves.
The sale is ongoing, and more than half of the promo NFTs are already gone, which is already a great success considering the price of $25 of one card, and the current market condition.
I bought two Olive Tree cards for the @alpha.dcrops account, the dedicated account owned together with

I hope that the success of this original approach will be an inspiration to others and that it will be further used. This model creates win-win situations and has the benefit of better connecting various communities on HIVE.
