Good to see you drop by. I feel that influencers play a large role in inflating new adopters expectations. Meme culture, "when moon," tiktok nonsense, obnoxious video snaps, etc.. It's a paper thin nonsense to people who grasp the vision and understand the societal change that's happening day by day.
Newer adopters should be taught to prioritize fundamentals as their guiding force and ignore price as it's irrelevant unless you're buying or selling. They should learn from macro investors and billionaires, not someone with a neon sign behind them in their apartment bedroom trying to get views and engagement from susceptible people looking for answers when they're not self-educated enough to rely on their own instincts. The irony is that the get rich quick mindset on paper value is worthless unless you're using crypto as collateral, or actively ready to sell in the green - which barely any newbie knows how to do.
I had a good friend I got into crypto sell about 22 BTC at $9,800 because he was too emotionally exhausted from watching his account value fluctuate. I wanted to beg him to hold, but I couldn't question what he thought was best for his health. They sold 3 months before the big pump, but he was at peace with it at least and riding free coins. If he'd just focused on the fundamentals, the $ value would've been insignificant, and he'd be set for life. It's a skill to trust that you should often do the opposite of what's tempting. On good projects, you sell in the green when everyone feels invincible, you buy in the red when fear is the highest, or you just hold and zoom out. The general uptrend and reduced available supplies are our friends.
