It was definitely an oddity but nothing but some lessons for the kids in the end. I’ve found lots of debit/credit cards and sensitive personal identifications, but if they’re tossed out, just leave them or cut them up. I’ve found plenty of cards and IDs loose on the sidewalk and have been able to return about 1/3 of them. The others simply don’t respond to my attempts to contact them on various social media platforms, but in the end it’s ok because I make sure the cards are destroyed and unable to be used if they don’t reply. I haven’t thought about calling the bank’s number before actually. Maybe I can do that in the future, but I don’t think the end customer would ultimately know if I called in or not. I often presume that they’d cancel the cards right away anyway. Thanks for sharing your story.
