Is there a breakeven point where the cost to set up your own power source becomes profitable in terms of future saving? Like if you spend $1,000 to set it up, it'll take 2 years to pay off the installation via electricity cost savings?
Growing your own food sounds amazing. Where I am, it's simply not possible with apartment living. I did find a complete aquaponics setup with the water chiller, grow light, and a huge glass case, but sold the items. I was slightly temped to try to grow something in it. but I don't really have the space.
