I sort of disagree here. Age is but a number, not a class.
I'd say that the younger, more tech savvy and crypto-friendly generations are a good sized proportion of investors here. Age does not correlate with wealth or liquid capital. Older/more mature investors may have more wealth, but most have it tied up in illiquid investments, have more overhead and other financial obligations to tie up that money. In the world in general, most older investors don't even know or care about crypto yet, nor would they want to invest in it now, and won't hear of Steem for a while.
The likelihood for younger folk to invest and be a larger % of the investment pool over time is much higher in my eyes. A younger investor/Steemian will likely be much more comfortable taking on more risk and directing a higher % of their income/funds in for the opportunity. They'll also likely use the blockchain more and recruit more of their network to do the same.
