You're such a sweetheart Alex!💙 Totally love that analogy! It reminds me of a book from Murray Bookchin (Post-Scarcity Anarchism) that I read. The first sentence of the book goes life this: " Life is a lemon. Life is a lemon and I want my money back." And then he goes on to make an analogy with the lemon by comparing it to life and saying that at first glance, the lemon (aka life) looks appealing to the eye to the point where you want to bite into it. But once you do so, life catches up with you and you start to feel the acidic juice of the lemon in your mouth and its aggressive taste on your palace. Super interesting he then goes on to compare it to capitalism and says that it's precisely what the capitalist system does to us: extract as much (productivity) juice from us as humanely possible.
