It’s been 2 years since Steemit made its way into my life. Yet it feels like just yesterday I was writing my first blog post. So much growth, healing and trials have happened during these past 730 days. Ironically, a lot of awful events in my life have happened on the 24th of the month, and while this day is a very special one to me as it marks 2 years since I have been given the chance to write on Steemit , it also leaves a bit of a sour taste in my mouth.
The story of how Steemit fell into my lap isn’t a happy one, but perhaps had things not unfolded the way they did, maybe I wouldn’t get to do what I love the most each day. If there’s one positive thing I can give credit for to my ex partner, it is the fact that he made me discover this amazing platform. While it may have been done in a very disgusting way over a threat of a break up – this is probably the one instance I’m happy I went along with an ultimatum.
Steemit made me fall in love head over heels with writing in English, something the frenchy in me would have never deemed possible. And now I can’t imagine a life in which Steemit doesn’t exist. Having been gifted with this space where I can share my thoughts and the knowledge that I get from my readings is like a dream come true to me. Every day, I look forward to my writing time. Something that I started off doing as a hobby turned into a passion.
Words fail to express how eternally thankful I am for each one of you.
