Most people are probably guilty of putting in easy to remember passwords and using these on multiple sites. And with a false sense of security, thinking as long as they have a firewall, latest anti-virus software these are safe. This simply isn't the case, as hackers get the passwords from other hacked sites, so even if your PC or laptop is like Fort Knox, it still doesn't stop some unscrupulous character finding out a way into your accounts with stolen passwords.
The best way forward is to use Google Password Checker and allowing this to generate your passwords for you, all unique to each site, and couple this with 2 Factor Authentication you stand a much better chance, it will even inform you if one of your passwords have been breached and request you to change it.
So don't give hackers a chance, keep your accounts secure.
