It's been more than a week now after HF21, and we have seen so much happening on Steem. Steem still trying to get over with the two back to back fork. Users already getting irritated with new EIP scheme, many planning to leave the platform, or stop creating content bla bla... So quick to get into the conclusion without understanding what actually cooking within Steem.
As always, Steem is burning red all over since the new updates on BlockChain introduced.
It's always been said , never get to any conclusion without knowing the real facts. To make it more clear, try to see the inside view of the Steem and how it is working.
Cooking Recipie on Steem
I believe ever user have came into Steem and knows only about the 5 different level of Steem . Let say;
Red Fish > Minnows > Dolphin> Whales > Orca
That is the most sought picture that every user get familiarise with. But on closure look inside, I found actually Steem is about only 2 groups.
- Stakeholders / Investors
- Users / Content Creators
Now, under the universal basic thing that is common all over , we expect the wealthy to be always supportive and to help others. Here on Steem we have the wealthier Stakeholders, who have brought in or rather invested their money to build the ecosystem. A system where the contributors get rewarded through the investment money brought in by Stakeholders.
And I feel, both Users and Stakeholders are directly proportional to each other. They are Interdependent and interrelsted to make Steem work properly and bring fairness all over.
How??
From Stakeholders prospective, they manages the reward distribution on Steem, and they want quality contribution from the content creator. They want users to promote Steem and help bringing Quality contributor and distribute rewards..on the other hand Users want stakeholders to reward their content through upvotes. And they can do so by buying more Steem and powering up on Steem BlockChain for greater value.
In other way, either of the one is incomplete without others. The two groups needs to work closely , if we need to take Steem to Moon.
The HF21 Recipie
I think, this is the most sought Hard Fork ever happened on Steem. The murmur already started before its launch, and later it brought Steem to halt for 1 whole day. After so much buzz , I see a bright shine at the end of everything.
Many new things intorduced on Steem and see there is a brighter prospect for it.
Firstly, the most hated and talked 50/50 reward split. I saw many in favour and against this new feature. However looking at the brighter side, we have increased curation reward. Thereby asking people to curate more and more and get a second hand on reward apart from the author reward.
It also encourages everyone to buy Steem and increase their stake to curate.
That's a multi functional aspect, where you get reward through curation in pursuit you can also increase your stake by bringing more Steem
Secondlly, the downvote option which make user to openly criticise the content that is not adding value to Steem. Doing so, Steem not only targetting bad content that takes the reward from other users but also encouraging Quality Contributor on Steem. Bringing Quality on Steem helps to make eco system far better and also helps in advertising to external sources inticing them to join the best rewarding social community.
So downvote is fair untill done against bad content, rather than playing around through unfair intention.
Thirdly, encouraging manual curation and enabling curation group to develop on Steem to find undiscovered content and reward them. Already, in one week or so I have seen so many manual curation all over Steem that makes many authors happy for their hard work through some good rewards. ocdb, adsup, smartsteem, curangel are few to name.
This makes stakeholders to get handsome return through meaningful way rather than funding bid-bots.
Fourthly degrading the Bid-Bot usage. I think this is the far better approach to downsize bid-bot usage. Already we have seen reward pool rape through bid-bot usage. Putting a restriction and the fear of downvote the practice has already been brought into check.
Get Ready for HF21 Fiesta
I have seen a lot of potential in Steem, since I join Steem and it is reason, I am still hanging around after 2 years. Not as a Stakeholder but as an User. Trying to match with different users& stakeholders to make better ecosystem. And in process gradually, I am increasing my stake through climbing up the well known different levels of Steem.
Cooking takes time, it is always better to eat cooked food than raw or half cooked.
I have seen a dream of making Steem to top 5 crypto and with each update we get closer and closer.

When their is big fiesta we always tend to eat more and taste all the item.
The Steem table is set to savor the different hot cooked recipie we can start enjoying, through the starter course. By bringing quality stuff on the platform. When it is about quality, it should be about it only. Whatever you bring in must have some some meaning and add value to Steem ecosystem
Enjoy the secondary source of reward through curation , and make every user feel they belong to this place. Make Steem a happy place for engagement.
Keep a check on the bad content, don't hesitate to downvote and make a stand for not allowing people to abuse the ecosystem.
Steem has thrown the ball in our court and let us to decide the fate of the ecosystem. Either we can make it more beautiful or we can spoil it. But it is better to make rather than to destroy. So make all efforts to make Steem a common name for all.
