As I am writing this, I am enjoying a starry night on the terrace of my sweet home, with cool breeze making me fall asleep. It was a fantastic day, as I returned home after a gap of 8 days. As I have shifted to a city, returning home is alwsys bliss. After living around the new and unknown finding the known faces is alwsys satisfying. So or was a short drive of 2 hrs on a hot summer morning. But the fun part of living around nature is that you van find a twist of weather in a minute. Just like what I am enjoying now.

As soon I reached my village, I went out for a walk around the village, especially towards the water front side, where we have a little pond. Seems someone was waiting to welcome with a swag. I know many would get frightened But, this is very common sighting around this time in my village.

This snake is resting on the leaf of lotus flower. This is water borne reptile and mostly lives in water side. Thoughbthey are dangerous too when they bites humans. But again they prefer their home too, just like we humans does. My pond is nice place with almost entire area covered with wild lotus plants bed. It appears nicely to anyone, with ompletelly green from all side.

But soon, we found it getting back tonits business. Actually the little rr0tile was looking for their prey. As soon as it find , it get back to its business. As soon I get distracted, it vanishes into the water and soon started hunting. I am lucky enough to watch it hunting a little fish that came around the shore area. It was a dramatic turn of events but given the insight of the wilderness and the survival instinct of all living organism.

This is the first time I witness something unusual. Finding a wild animal hunting for their food. I have seen it on televioan but never seen them through naked eyes. But that is what we get to see in remote villages. We have many such sighting of reptiles during the summer time, when they comes out for a stroll and to entertainnus with their killer instinct. Hope you enjoy the little #Wednesdaywalk with the nature rule.

Peace!!
