It has been said that hard work is the key to success. Hardworking people create their own destiny through their perseverance and dedication. But I always wonder is it really true when it comes to people living in rural or backward remote areas?. They do their own share of hard work, but hardly ever seen a person so successful like of Elon or bill gates in real life. They wakes up early on a grinding note and ends up the day no where. As I went to to an early walk to the nearest store to fetch some grocery items. I saw a motorbike laden with heavy sacks of coals.
There are many such bikes that crosses our village in the early hours. They overload their motorbikes with heavy coal sacks and went on to sell them to earn their livelihood for the day. Their work hours begun as early as 3 AM and ends up around 9AM until they sell their stocks of coal. They do their part of hard work but they never led a life of their choice. Can you ever imagines the pain in transporting these coals or driving the heavy vehicle. It is not easy, but they do that almost everyday. There are many similar examples that can be seen around my village. Coming back to farmers, they have their own say about hard work. Yesterday, we had some rainfall pretty late at night. There were many farmers who went to their field to check the water levels. Any leakages from the field or excess water may damages the crop. To ensure there wont be any major harm, they went to fields as early as 2 AM.
This is the sight that I usually enjoy in my village. The water filled farming fields and the big mountain at the backdrop with rainy clouds hovering around it. People often visit to different hill station to enjoy their holidays, but my village have their own hill station that just fresh up everything. After the rainy night, everything gets lively too. The shining droplets of water on green leaves are prime witness of overnight rain. They sparkle too much. But the little droplets of water is a treat to our eyes.
Leaves look clean and alive after a fresh rain or morning dew. Looking at these quiet drops helps the mind feel still and happy. The soft green color of the leaf makes the clear drops stand out. Every single drop holds a tiny, upside-down picture of the world around it.
It is amazing how they remain intact on the surface. The drops sit in neat, soft balls on the smooth green surface. Rather than sliding down, they stay firm, just to make things more beautiful to our eyes. It is indeed a treat. While rain just makes everything lively because of fresh nature, however continuous rain can turn village life into a nightmare. It is still raining, and have nothing much to share. But one thing does realize, Hard work does not always pay off because success requires more than just high effort.
In good faith - Peace!!
