Now a days we use to have many, Dolls and Toys of all quality to keep our little kids occupied. They play with soft toys in the comfort of home. But have we ever , thought how about the kids from our past keep themselves busy.??
I too never thought about it, untill I visit the Musuem and found out about the Terracotta Figures.
Terracotta is a brownish-red clay that has been baked and is used for making things such as flower pots, small statues, and tiles. ...plants in terracotta pots.
These were usually hand made and small in sizes. Looking at these figurines one can imagine the great artisans if our past which keep them making to keep the kids occupied and busy. There were number of them on display.
These figures were perfectly executed and made with hands, though some of them are not in shape but managing all these with hands is super fantastic.
These figurines were found out during digging at the archaelogical sites of Eastern India, were many of the inhabitants lived on the banks of river Ganga. Watching them I simply admire all our history artisans who made all these.
