It is always crucial to book accommodations (hotel, resort, or homestay) before we go out for travel. This saves our time, eliminates last minute rush, and ensures we find a room in the right location at the right price. A good accommodation is important as it is essential to get some rest after roaming around all day. I remember, when we were young, we used to plan the trip without any accomodation plan. We always look out to Crack some better discount from the live location then paying heavenly through online or advance booking. Most of the time, it happens that hotel charge more for online booking while the same room can get cheaper if we negotiate better through face to face conversation. In our last trip to Amritsar, we did a advance online booking. We do not wanted to create any hassle in the last minute as we might be reaching the place late at night. And it happened that we reached the place pretty late at night and thankfully we did have our reservation at one of the premier hotel in the city. Reaching there late, give me good peace of mind. May be the Gautam Budhha statue in a meditating position right at the entrance was placed exactly for the visitors peace of mind.
The entrance has a huge hallway and a reception to entertain the visitors. Although there was noone when we reached. It was pretty late at night so the helpdesk would resting at their room. It was quite spacious and decorated with some nice artefacts and furniture.
Two big chairs aright at the extreme corner opposite to the reception desk is what attracted me. The big chair looks quite royal for the place. And the color does give a nice vibes to the place.
After waiting for some time and doing some formality with the documentation, we were guided towards our room. The room is at the 3rd floor l. The receptionist helped us to our room through the lifts. The lifts take us to a hallway with many room alongside. The ramp was quite clean and filled some nice fragrance. There were many artifacts and painting decorated on the walls.
The door has the electronic lock and we entered our room by swapping the card. I assume such system used to be in big 5 star hotel, but seeing this system at a regular hotel is quite surprising. May be I did not stayed at any hotel since long. Anyway, the first thing we need to check is the wash room and then the interior of the room. The room has a bouncing bed. I assume it was supposed to be for couple. But the sheets and ambience was quite nice. The dim light lit allows us to rest properly.
The hotel does provide the guest with two complimentary bottles of water. Ot was not ant mineral water that were available in the market. But it was a glass bottle with the hotel mark on it. I think it is a way branding way of marketing to woo the guest. I like the shape and qty of bottles. Any extra bottles will be chargeable, but for each day, they will provide 2 bottles for each room.
My fried was quite irritated seeing me snapping everything on our visit. We were tired and wanted to take some rest. In-fact he was the one who drive all the way to Amritsar. So his irritation was correct upto a limit. We put off the light and straight way hit the bed to rest. The next morning allow us to explore the hotel from a new angle. There were quite a rush in the hotel lobby, the reception was crowded with number of guests. Some checking in while some were checking out. There was a separate waiting area for all the guest just beside the reception area. It has a glass wall, which allows us to view the street, but quite peaceful for study and waiting.
It was a good experience for 2 days, that we stayed at the hotel. The hotel name is ....
...and the board right on the roof was enough to give the guest a direction from far away. The Sandoz Pribson Hotel in Amritsar is a well rated 4-star property located on Grand Trunk Road. After staying for two days I may conclude that the hotel is :
Spacious and well-maintained rooms with modern decor.
Equipped with air conditioning, flat-screen TVs, and clean private bathrooms.
The staffs were helpful, polite, and attentive
Conveniently close to the Amritsar Junction railway station and local bus stand (about a 5-to-7 minute walk).
Close to major sightseeing spots like Jallianwala Bagh and the Partition Museum
The hotel has it own dining option, which i prefer to share later. It has its own story. I rate and recommend this hotel to anyone who would travelling to Amritsar. Great place to stay and enjoy nice hospitality.
In good faith - Peace!!
