I always wonder what keep people so attached to Steem. I used to think it the social networking over few rewards that keep people more hooked to Steem(it). The community plays bigger role in keeping people together.
But does that mean People Loves Steem(it)??
The question is dicey, but looking at some of the Hackernoon events yesterday, I would say people are more here for the rewards factor than making their love for (Steem).
Hackernoon is a media house who recently awarding "The Noonies Award" to the most loved social network site. Out of many nomination Steemit is one of them. As soon the nomination made I have seen multiple post floating over Steem to participate in making Steemit the ultimate winner. In Las 36 hours I came across as many as 13 post from different users.
However the surge in voting started when 
Which further increased to 64 after 6 hrs
And after 10 hrs at the time of writing the post the number further increased to 84. I assure I have checked randomly and each of them is the voting proof submission in the post comment section.
I feel, when you love something, we should not xpect anything in return. The love for Steem should not go with rewards. People are voting for Steemit only to expect Upvotes in exchange from
We should love Steem more.
Anyway, I think it is our moral obligation to visit the Hackernoon website and vote for Steemit, to make it number social networking platform.
