"Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you." John 15:16
FROM OUR TEXT WE SEE THAT:
-Fruitfulness is God's will for every believer.
-Every believer has God given potentials for fruitfulness.
-Every believer has been empowered by God to bear fruits.
-Every believer should undertake the pursuit of bringing forth spiritual fruits.
-Every believer must insist on lasting fruitfulness.
"They shall still bring fruit in old age: they shall be fat and flourishing" Psalms 92: 14
-The believer must fight against enemies of fruitfulness.
-Every believer shall be rewarded with fruitfulness.
WHAT FRUIT REFERS TO:
- Product of growth and development.
"And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper." Psalms 1:3
- Result that follows effort.
"...whatsoever he doeth shall prosper" Psalms 1:3
- Returns on investment.
"He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him." psalms 126:6
- Harvest for every seed sown.
"They that sow in tears shall reap in joy." Psalms 126:5
- Impact and exploit of kingdom spirituality.
"...but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits" Daniel 11:32
It is God's will that we enjoy fruitfulness in every endeavour and career.
Be fruitful in Jesus' name.
