Hey everyone I am putting this drawing in for the SketchQuest contest. The rule is to sketch something you see in real life or online. Guess what I saw?
I was scrolling through the Draw a Day community and saw this really weird, cool shape. Our good friend 
I thought, that the shape looks like an antler So, that strange shape became the inspiration for the whole drawing, but especially for the antlers on this reindeer that I made. I loved that purple color, so I kept it and to make it standout too.
I turned the whole thing into a forest reindeer. I gave him a soft, happy face and a kind of colorful little coat, like a knitted sweater, in this bright peach color and some green accents. I put him in a quiet forest with some tall, dark pine trees and a misty background. It makes him look a little magical, don't you think?
It was really fun to take a simple shape and build a whole character around it. I hope you guys like him! Wish me luck in the SketchQuest contest
